What works best
A balcony parapet at blue hour, a marigold string along the rail and the city going dark behind it. A hand lights a row of clay diyas one at a time and the whole frame warms up as it goes. Name the lamps after everyone at home and each one carries a name on its rim; leave that blank and you get one big family lamp instead. Then the city answers with fireworks, and Happy Diwali rises above the row with your name at the foot.
Free to make. Most cards are ready in a couple of minutes.
